PATINA
Development of the name and visual identity for a start up used book shop based in the hip neighbourhood of Roma, Mexico City. The brand is seeking to appeal to book lovers and offer an alternate non digital pastime. The brand name - Patina (the natural pattern appearing on objects over time) celebrates the inherent character of used books. The primary wordmark is displayed in an ink and paper colour palette, bookended by the brand concept. Layered stickers form part of the visual language and reflect how human intervention can create an inorganic patina of sorts.
